Capira
Capira, also known as "The Land of Good People" is a rural town located about 40 minutes west of Panama City in the Cermeno Mountains. The town of Capria is a typical Spanish Colonial type town originally centered around a central church plaza. It is a growing town and has such amenities as a small hotel, banks, several food and general goods markets, pharmacies and various small restaurants, including Queso's Chela which is very well known among locals for its freshly made cheeses and baked goods. Capira is also the main entrance to the weekend town of Cermeno which has a variety of beautiful weekend estates and access to the Pacific Ocean. Also within Capira is the regional office of the (MIDA) Ministry of Agricultural Development where one can purchase a large variety of fruiting trees, hard wood trees and ornamental plants at a very low cost. Capira is the midway point from Panama City to Coronado, and its topography consists of mountains and rolling hills.
